New Look New Home: 5 Pinterest Projects to DIY For!

Posted by Justin Brenner on

Spring is all about new: new weather, new clothes, new flowers, new décor, new projects, clean house. And that’s what we love about it. Spring is an excuse to start over! Trends are fresh off the runway, and flowers are freshly picked, and placed in our new DIYed vases. That’s why to go along with our new look, we’re giving you an excuse to update your home! Here are our five favorite spring Pinterest projects!

Lighting, Herbs, Wall Décor, Kitchen, and Bathroom.

Lighting: Nothing says a spring night like the flickering of lightning bugs in your backyard. So why not bring that beautiful scene into your bedroom? Hang a curtain rod from the ceiling behind your bed, get some sheer white curtains, and some basic strand Christmas lights. Hang the light strand vertically from the rod and the sheer curtains in front! What a serene and chic bedroom update!

Herbs: There is nothing I love more than fresh basil and parsley, and what a better thing to do than to grow your own!? Turn your herb garden into a new kitchen updo! Find some old tea tins or mason jars, paint them or leave them as is and there you have it! An herb garden and style all in one!

Wall Décor: I love a good inspirational quote, and I love A LOT of white in my home. When I saw this DIY I knew it was something I had to do! All you need is a canvas, wooden letters, white paint, and glue. The monochromatic look is in, and white is so spring.

Kitchen: Throw out your old plastic containers, and update them with ceramic or glass! Go out to Hobby Lobby and buy some vinyl chalkboard stickers and stick them on and label as you wish! If you opt for glass, why not paint them Radiant Orchid? Pantones Color of the season…we are dying over it!

Bathroom: I am a huge Lauren Conrad fan, but I mean who isn’t? And I just knew I had to do this DIY when I saw it on her very own Pinterest Board. Painted mason jars as soap and lotion dispensers! Everything you need is in the mason jar section at hobby lobby…(I’ve already checked).

My weekend is now filled with all of these DIY’s, what about yours??
